Opinions wanted on new promo video

Hey everyone..i just got back a video we had someone shoot at a live gig. We want to use it for promotional purposes and I would like some feedback.

Nice! It looks great, and for it's purpose should work very well. It shows that you guys know how to play, sound good doing it, and are serious.

My only critiques (and please, take these with a grain of salt)
1. I dislike fake names. But it seems like that all these "party" band types use them.
2. The video is very out of sync with what is being played with drums and guitar most noticeable. Not really a big deal, and certainly not an easy thing to fix. So I totally understand why.

I like the overall look. The graphic elements and style are nice.

I think you have some really rough edits. From my experience, I'd guess that there are a number of edits that are being used to cover for lack of material.

:12 there's a dissolve between two nearly identical shots - what?

:46 the out from the still frame of the vocalist is jarring

Then there's just a bunch of edits between non-varied shots, that don't seem to have a purpose.

I think it's too long. I wasn't able to watch the whole thing. I think if it's edited down, the things I see as editing problems could be eliminated and it would pick up the energy, which seems low and "off" in some way.

1. Too long for a promo video.
2. If you can't get the video in sync with the audio, then put the vid in slow motion, say 1/4 - 1/2 speed.

Other than that, pretty good job.
