so i just bought an orange 410 bass cab and eventually want to get the matching 115 but dont have the cash at the moment just wondering what everyone thinks about getting an ampeg 115 in the mean time will it work and what will it sound like ?

Orange 410 with ampeg 115

Mixed speaker sizes aside...
The 410 will blow away the 115 volume-wise to the point of rendering the 115 as nothing more than the 410's cabinet stand.
A 410 matches up well with a 215, and a 210 matches up well with a 115.
If you need another cab, getting another 410 would be your best option for several reasons.

I have read tons of different opinions on to go with another 410 or a 115 and it just seems to be preference no one can gimme a solid answer as to why a 2 410s are better then a 410 and a 115 or vice versa I'm so confused !!! Lol

The Orange 115 will eat the Ampeg one alive...no kidding.
I would get the OBC410...then the OBC115 later down the line...or another OBC410.

Forget about the Ampeg. Try both setups - the 410 with the 115, and the two 410's. My guess is you'll like two 410's for a number of reasons - like we said, that 410 will probably be louder and go lower than the 115 and it makes sense that if you like the sound of the first 410, you'll like two of them together. It's a crapshoot if the 410 paired with the 115 will sound as good.
ya i wish orange was easier to get in california but there isnt a shop within a 200 mile radius that carries any orange cabs so i would have to buy one and if i didnt like it i would be stuck with it thats why im so confused but thanx for all the info i really apprciate it !!!!
Why would you buy an Ampeg 15 when you really want the Orange 15 and could just save a couple hundred more for it???

A lot of people love crappy gear too, but you won't see me jumping on their bandwagon solely because "they like it". And I have no use for commercial cab manufacturers or their marketing departments.
If you want reasons, I already stated that for balancing the output, you would use a 210 with a 115 OR a 410 with a 215. There are some 410's that are weak and some 115's that are strong, but in general a 410 will overpower a 115 and make the 115 essentially a very heavy, expensive cabinet stand for the 410.
And unless you are bi-amping there are some phase issues with mixing speakers. There already are some issues using a 410 because you have two pairs of speakers side by side, so why add another cab that will cause more issues?
Now before everyone hops on the "I don't need the facts...if it sounds good, it is good" bandwagon, I realize that mixing cabs can sound good. But there is good and there is great and if you want to settle for good, well then...if it sounds good to you, then it is good.
I played an OBC115/410 stack today and it sounded great. Not good, but great! So great that I bought the 410 instead of the 115 I intended to buy to match the 115 I already have.
If you have to run this poor matching, at least stack the 15 on the top so you can hear when is starts to show signs of distress. A single cone cabinet is not able to compete with a 4x10 in any regard.
I seriously doubt that. What's so special about the Orange that the Ampeg doesn't have? Both use similar speakers, and both are in cabs about the same size.
