orange bax bangeetar on bass?

I just found out about this pedal/preamp and was pretty interested. My bass terror was stolen from me a few years ago and this isn't as expensive and is supposed to give you the orange sound in a pedal. I like the eq controls...little more control than the terror. The only problem is I can't seem to find anything about this used on bass. Has anyone tried this? Just looking for opinions if anyone has gotten to try it.

I got mine in the mail yesterday along with a tech 21 Oxford. I'm looking to cop the orange sound without paying the Orange price/having to sell my SVT so I'm hoping one of these will satisfy that itch. As soon as I get home from work I plan on experimenting with my p-bass and I'll let you know how it goes.

Sidebar my signal will be p-bass>boss LS-2 (with the Oxford/Orange in one of the loops)>90s SVT

I didn't own the Orange pedal, but I did own the Oxford. Besides Darkglass, it was my absolute favorite bass preamp pedal I have used.

The Oxford is great, only downside for me is the bass EQ was centered too high, it needs to be boosted to keep a decent amount of low end but this muddied up the 100-200 Hz region too much for my liking. I bet it would straight up kill with a Putnam mod though.

So I tried the pedals and my verdict is that the bax bangeetar is way better. The "Q" and frequency controls are incredibly useful and turn out to be crucial in finding the Orange tone I'm looking for.

I boosted the "bottom" level and it seemed that there wasn't much of a loss of low end. The Oxford however did seem to get mushy and muddy when I did the same thing and I didn't even have to max out the low control on the Orange pedal. I am still going to blend it in with my dry signal using the LS-2 to be safe though.

Very happy with the way this pedal seems to work for bass.

I'm now realizing that your clips are the ones I heard a while back that made me want to try the Oxford in the first place. Sounds awesome with the Ric to me!

Thanks man:) . That was a really grunty sound I dialed up on it. I like the Darkglass sound a bit more, but there is definitely a chance of having some sort of Orange accompanying it on my board again. Especially since I've learned a lot since then.
