Order of pedals

So I have my peeled setup as follows...
1) Volume pedal
2) BOSS RV-5 reverb
3) MXR Carbon Copy delay
4) Big Muff Pi fuzz
5) Boss tuner

I know changing up the order of your pedals can change the effect or sound they give you, so I guess is that a good order? Or is there a better one I can wire up. I'm also open to suggestions, I'm kinda a newb when it come to effects.

I do plan on shopping around for maybe an octave pedal or a synth pedal. So when I get one or both of those, where would those go.

Why don't you try....rearranging them yourself and decide from there?

The most traditional setup would be volume > muff > delay > reverb > tuner

But tuners can go anywhere, and volume after the muff wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I would put the muff first and reverb at the end, because IMO reverb doesn't sound right before distortion.

I would do:
Tuner-> Volume -> Big Muff -> Carbon Copy -> RV-5

That way you can do some cool violin-like volume swells!

Tuner > Muff > Volume > Delay > Reverb

Muff before delay.
Whether you put the volume before or after the delay depends on if you want to be able to cut the delay off or let it ring out after you've rolled back the volume. (letting it ring out would be like the start of Metallica's Damage Inc).
The tuner could be used the same way if it has a mute switch.

An octaver would normally go before the muff/delay/reverb. They like a clean signal so they can hold onto the note.

But if you find a different order that works better for you, go for it.

I would put volume last, but imo its there to control the volume of everything.

An alternate config:

Tuner, Muff, CC, Volume, Reverb.

In this way, you allow the reverb to trail off the sound a little more naturally.

I have been messing around with it on my own but nothing like that, I was looking for what the norm was with these pedals, cause I would had no clue to put reverb after muff. But thanks guys, helps out a lot.

Generally, there are no rules for the order of guitar effects pedals. IME, it really depends how you use them in your music. But just in case you want something of a guideline, this one makes it simple.

Depends what you want really or what you think sounds right for you. With my chain its Tuner>Boss NS2>Boss ODB>Ashdown ABM 500. I chose to put the noise suppressor after the tuner as it seemed to cut out alot more of the hiss generated from the combo of my pedalchain in general and my 4003 Ric.

I would do the reverse of what you've got now.
