Just ordered a set of the Delano JMVC 4 FE/M2 Jazz Pickups.... sound unheard. The ones with the 9,5 pole piece.
Hopefully these live up to what I've read. I told the guy at Fearless Guitars that I mainly play the bridge pu ala Jaco, and he recommended the JMVCs. I have a set of Nordy's NJ4SE in my '08 Jazz, but my Geddy Lee is pick-up-less at the moment. So, Geddy is going to be my guinea pig.
Review next week after installed.

If any one has these pickups in their bass, I'd love to hear your opinion about the pu.

I got my Delanos JMVC4 Installed in my Geddy Lee Jazz. Honestly , I don't think they are my cup of tea. I mostly play bridge pickup ala Jaco. I have a set of Norstrands NJ4SE in another Jazz bass and they have that Fender growl. The Delano JMVC4 has alot of highs. Not much in the midrange. These pickups sound good both at full and if you're slappin'. I'll try 'em at the next band rehearsal.
One issue that didn't happen when I had my nordy's and fender pups in my Geddy, when having the bridge pickup at full and blending the neck with the neck volume knob, the neck doesn't blend until it's at full. Maybe, these aren't the right pots for this pup. 250

Right now, I'm going to stick with the Nordy's or maybe give the Delano JC 4 HE a try.

More to this review later.

Sorry to hear the pickup didn't live up to your expectations. This is exactly the reason I can't gather the courage to splurge on pickups that have got my attention... :(
What will you do with the JVMC if you're going to replace it?

the neck doesn't blend until it's at full.

That's a weird problem I'm sorta getting on my own bass, too. My bridge pickup is non-existent until it's up on full. I thought it was my shoddy soldering job and I fried the pot or something, but if you have it too.....

IMO

Nordstrand is the way to go when you are talking about fender pickup type. I've assembled many basses in the past and NOTHING comes close and surpass fender sound as much as Nordstrand.

If you want soapbar, Delano is the way to go, they are the only one IMO that have Soapbar pup that is not nasal, not muddy, not dark sounding...

For thr MM pup, Delano have everything from Vintage to hi-fi.

The MM4.2 is the only nordstrand humbucker that i like. It tends to have a little too much mid for my taste but you can always take some of with your amp or preamp...
