Oregon Bassist's Club!

Gilmer Hardwoods.

Click Musical Instrument Woods.

Note the $100 minimum.

I have some figured big leaf maple from the Willamette Valley, very inexpensive to you, but 135 miles away in Redmond. I'd love to see it get used, in that I'm tapering off my production of Barker Basses and so far there's no one to continue it.

Not sure if anyone is looking for a fanned fret bass. I have a Dingwall available locally.

Also just picked this up. It's made by Marco Bass guitars out of Dallas OR

Hey Oregon bassist's! Does anyone have any recommendations for bass teachers in the Portland area? I've been playing since April this year, but I really feel like I need instruction from a teacher who's a dedicated bassist. I'd like to learn things like scales, theory, improv, and technique.

Thanks!!

nice spector. I always wanted to play one. I'm a big musicman fan I have a feeling I would like that Spector as well... oh and I'm in clackamas but I'm out in Portland a lot since I work there and the band practices in Se.
Thanks. That's one my Spector basses... Euro4LX Ian Hill Signature model.
I tried adding you on facebook but can't find the screen name you list in your TB profile.

Haven't logged in in a very long time! Hope everyone is well. The Boomers are still going strong!

Classified Extra: Scaling back on my gear, mostly because my back says so. I sold my Ampeg SVT blue line last year, begrudgingly, but traded that cash in for a nice MarkBass 2x10. Works great in my application and my back is happier! It will be even more happy when I sell my SVT-610HLF cab. This cab sound awesome. Is it perfect? Heck no! I have gigged with it for nearly six years and I bought it from some young buck at OSU. I cleaned it up and even got new medallions for it. There are still some small tears in the Tolex, but not one person has ever come up to me at a show and said, "Dude, your Tolex is torn!" $500 PM me. Would rather do this local to Salem, but will drive a reasonable distance to meet you. It will go on Craigslist next weekend.
