Bought this last year and have truly loved playing this instrument - there is some definite magic in it, for me at least. Includes not only the original gig bag, but a Gator hardshell case, as well. $1300 shipped CONUS.
I added a set of Hipshot ultralite tuners, and will also include an ultralite detuner I never got around to installing. Original tuners included. Also replaced one missing truss rod cover screw mentioned in the original description. Otherwise the bass is as described by the previous owner, reposted below:
Beautiful Orville by Gibson Thunderbird bass, made at the Terada factory in Japan in April of 1991. The "G" serial number indicates Gibson USA pickups and electronics. The tuners are very good, with adjustable tension (see photos). The bridge was replaced with a Hipshot version, and the original will be included. The added pickup rings and Hipshot bridge are Nickel plated to match the original pickup covers and tuners. The control knobs were replaced with new versions of the originals, and pointer rings were added; the originals will be included. Straplok buttons are installed, and the original buttons will also be included. It comes with the original gig bag which is in very good condition and functions perfectly. It is missing one of the small black screws for the truss rod cover.
This is a fine bass with low fret wear and a very straight neck for a 32-year-old. I have not had any work done on the frets, and it would benefit from a professional setup. You can see in the photos that the headstock had a break (typical) which was repaired very well, and there is no effect on sound, feel, or playability It sounds great and has a real vintage vibe, especially with the reverse action tuners. It has a few marks which I tried to capture in the photos, but nothing too noticeable.
