I recently developed it and assimilates in just my right ear. I know it's the brain perceiving and making up for frequencies loss due to cochlear nerve end cell damage/loss and not an ear issue specifically.
I am also aware "T" tinnitus is accumulative, can happen with or without hearing loss. Studies have been done in which people with no hearing loss or tinnitus have been put into soundproof rooms and all of them within 15-20 minutes start to hear ringing or other frequencies due to the brain's perception of loss to everyday sounds/frequencies it's used to hearing.
My T is most likely accumulative too, but recent use of studio headphones for prolonged periods is what pushed it to constant ringing around 6.5 kilohertz. I have appointments with an Audiologist and ENT on February 14th.
Anyway, just wondering if others have it, does it affect you, how do you cope or habituate?

Although mine is more likely attributed to combat (nobody stops to put in ear plugs) as opposed to faulty hearing protection.
