Output Jack Replacement Problem

I have recently replaced an output jack, and not touched any other wiring in the cavity, and now when I plug into the jack, it requires a fair amount of pressure to get it to click in. And when it does, there is less output from it. And when you plug it in without the full click, its louder. Any ideas what may cause this??
Thanks

Just did an entire re-wire all the way in no sound - Just before the "click" full output

Similar but different perhaps the same answer will apply

Did apply copper sheilding - don't know if inserting all the way is causing a short to ground ?
