output jack wiring

So i'm sitting staring at this output jack trying to figure out which wire goes on which pin. It's the Proline Series part from Guitar Center (desperate to get it together today for setup tomorrow.)

The jack didn't come with a manual and I don't know what pin goes to what wire. anyone ever used one?

It's a passive setup. Dimarzio ultra jazz pickups.

The easiest way to tell is to pull out an ohm meter and check which terminals go to the tip, ring and sleeve.

crap i knew i shoulda grabbed a multimeter when i bought the soldering iron. there is one short contact, and 2 longer ones. I assume the longer ones are the grounds??

For a passive setup you only need one of the grounds; in general, they are the longer ones but everyone has run across a goofy one.

Try it - you won't hurt anything if it's backwards.
