Ovation typhoon

Does anyone here play an ovation typhoon bass? What do you play it into? What music do you play?

I bought one for my Partridge Family tribute band (work in progress), but I'm thinking about pulling the frets and learning some Jobim tunes. I play mine through a Walter Woods head and a Vox Super Beatle cabinet. Sounds like MBOL.
