Overdrive + Fuzz?

Hey. I'm looking for a bass overdrive pedal. I want it to be capable of subtle crunch, but I also need it to be able to be really dirty when needed. I'm looking at the EHX Bass Blogger and it seems interesting, but is there anything else out there? I'm kind of on a budget, so nothing super expensive.

Try a Fulltone Bassdrive, Humphrey modded Bad Monkey, or Polish Love! Maybe also the new Digitech Hardwire overdrives, you should be able to try them in your local store.

They can all get pretty filthy, but you might want a real fuzz for the heavy stuff.

there's a difference between OD and fuzz.

in the fuzz world: zvex woolly mammoth, malekko b:assmaster, perscription electronics depth charge, chunk systems brown dog, MXR Bass Blowtorch, EHX English Muff'n (or Big Muff)...all really good. There's a million more out there, but you can hear a lot of them on youtube...

OD: ebs makes some good overdrives (valve drive & multidrive), fulltone bass drive MOSFET, SansAmps can give you a good overdrive...plus they make the XXL and VT pedals, then you can get expensive and go for stuff like the BJF BlueBerry, T-Rex Bass Juice, or stuff by DHA (Dave Hall Amps)...

go for it. oh yeah.
