Overwater J series swap

Hey all....
I am selling my stingray 4hh and have been offered a straight swap for an overwater custom deluxe j series. I literally know nothing about them. I currently use the passive flea sig fender which i love. Anyone able to advise on the overwater please? Is it much better sound/tone wise thanbthe flea fender? Is it worth the swap rather than selling the 4hh?
Thank you all in advance!

It's a no-brainer.

Chris May and Overwater have been at the top of the boutique bass tree since the very early 80's. They are up there with Wal, Status Graphite and JayDee. If they were based in the US, folks would be talking about them in the same breath as Sadowsky, would be paying Sadowsky money for them too. Take in a show in London's West End , 9 from 10 the bass player will be on an Overwater.

I'd make the trade.

Overwater are fantastic instruments. They are up there with the best of the best.

The only reason I don't have at least two, the weight. My next bass has to be around 7-8lbs and 5 string Overwaters are usually a couple of lbs heavier. For most people that would not be an issue, so check them out and jump at the chance to own a truly amazing bass.

Thanks for the reply. Seems this is a no brainer from feedback I am getting on here and elsewhere..... my only concern is I only play in a local indie/rock band..... is it a bit overkill for this type of music? Never even played a boutique bass!
