Again, I don't want them to sound the same, and I don't think they can.
I do want the Deluxe to get that characteristic P-bass midrange grunt instead of sounding generic-modern.
In comparison with the standard, it sounds scooped now. I don't like scoop. I can deal with it, getting the tone I want with fingers and eq, but I want the default P voice to be just a bit different than it is. Although I don't want the same sound out of both, that characteristic is something I want in both. Keep in mind that the "grunt" is not going to sound the same on both instruments.
I just switched the Badass V back to the stock bridge, I'll record a sample and put it up for people to compare. The bass actually feels a bit lighter now, that is one big chunk of metal!
