Padouk/Wenge/Ebony 5 string

That looks great, congrats!

How did you find working with the padauk alongside the maple?

It wasn't to bad. After I finished sanding, I scraped the maple line with a razor to clean it up. I also figured out that you can get the padauk dust off of it pretty easily with a pink gum eraser.

Getting the ebony dust out of the padauk from the fingerboard was worse than getting the padauk out of the maple.

Thanks. Interesting about the ebony, but makes sense since the padauk has such large pores. I'm not up to finishing yet, but I've seen my padauk being clogged with maple dust. So far it's been blowing out with no problem.

Beautiful selections of woods, i like the Padouk its very nice with that streaking in the top. Its going to be interesting to see what the color in the wood does with the oil finish as it oxidizes.
