I'm 74, and play electric bass. Several years ago I developed pain in my two plucking fingers. It was never diagnosed, but I suspect it is arthritis. I got through 3 hour gigs OK, but the pain made me cut down on practice time a little. Ibuprofen (oral and gel) helped somewhat, but I found something better!

A few months ago I started taking Osteo Bi-Flex (the one with Glucosamine and Turmeric). About the same time my finger pain disappeared! I'd highly recommend trying it if you have similar pain.

A few days ago I switched to the cheaper Kroger brand "Glucosamine Chondroitin / MSM Complex". Only time will tell if that will be as effective.

I used to take that but stopped. I think I'll try it again now that I'm 65 and my hands get achey and numb...

In the original post I mentioned that I had switched from Osteo Bi-Flex to the cheaper Kroger brand "Glucosamine Chondroitin / MSM Complex". I've been taking the Kroger brand for two months now and still NO finger pain! :hyper:
