Looking for someone to give me an idea if this will work at all. I am almost confident it will but to which body is more the information I am looking for.
My modulus vertex body is out so now I am looking for a fender-esque replacement. PJ body specifically.
The question is, Will my 4 string neck fit in any PJ Fender body?
I am looking to save money on the body but be spendy with the pickups and pre (in time upgrade). Squier vintage modified, Mexican, Japanese, anything not too expensive for a Franken-project.
Any help is appreciated, be it a link missed here on the forums regarding this or even a simple yes, no or a point in the right direction.
Thanks in advance for taking anytime to help.

It depends whether your neck is Fender sized. The Modulus VJ necks are and can be installed on any body with a Fender sized neck pocket.

THANKS ELGECKO!
SICK PHOTO MATE? Are those yours? I want the surf green!
Then that brings the question, is the VJ neck and vertex neck the same?
Anyone: any knowledge on this?
I am dying to get a PJ put together sooner than later. Hoping I can get some more solid info before I start pushing money into the project.

The Vertex neck is the same as the Funk Unlimited (Flea) neck; I think the VJ is smaller/thinner.

Interesting that this thread came up, as I *just* got word today that my neck transplant from my own Vertex to a fender-style body is finished! Really, I loved the Vertex, but TBH at over 9 lbs it was starting to kill my left shoulder, even with a 4 or 5 inch wide padded strap. I had it mated to a P-style body I bought here on TB. The pocket had to be routed a full inch more toward the bridge, as the 22-fret neck bests the Fender neck by 2, and only one of those is on an overhang, and only mostly. And the mounting holes had to be redrilled to then match the neck placement.

Hope to pick it up tomorrow and will post pics if you like.
