If you take the existing endpin rod out, any rod of the same diameter could go in securely ... and that could be something that screw into a heavy mic stand base. Don't know if that will work, it wasn't designed for that, but that's my idea.
HI, on my Palatino VE500, I use the bottom section of a standard upright bass stand, then I slid the center post of the bass all the way up and tightened. Then I slide the bass stand from the top, works great, adjustable height, great for standing or siting down, very versatile.
