Palmer Bass Amp

I got one of these to run as a preamp for my P bass. It works okay but there is one knob that's marked "Saturate" that's supposed to emulate some kind studio tape saturation and warm up the sound. I've never been able to get any kind of effect from this knob no matter which way I turn it.

Anyone out there with hands-on experience with one of these know what I'm talking about?

I'm starting to think that this is another bass preamp [out of 3] that will have to go back. Must be my karma . . .

I feel you set it full wet on the blend, and then clean on the drive/od settings, then I bet you will hear it better. I just bet it’s kinda subtle.

The jack placement on that preamp is just super dumb -,otherwise looks kinda cool

Actually, that's one of the things that I like about it. Especially since it's the first thing on my pedal board. It's especially helpful that it has an effects send & return [via a TRS cable] in that regard as well. I'll try your suggestion and see if it helps. Thanks.

I would be way too afraid to have any cables that close to the footswitch
