I have been planning my board for a while, and the latest plan I have come up with requires parallel processing. My first thought for this was mini mixers, however, after some further thought and discussion (thanks Sean!) I have decided that I want stomp switches for each channel. What I want is a 4-loop bypass pedal with a volume control for each loop, but I want the loops to be parallel, not series, so all of the loops need to be buffered. It would effectively be a splitter and mixer all in one box. Are there any pedals on the market that do this? Are there any companies that would build this for me? Could I build this myself at home? If so, where can I find schematics for this type of device?
i'd also like a good schem site for a multi-loop stomp box like mr. happy is asking about, or at least a good splitter.
I'm pretty sure that Wounded Paw could also do a custom job on their mixer (correct me if I'm wrong, WP). It's what I'm going to ask him to do for me. Oh, and *curtsies* you're welcome.
I'm not sure the Wounded Paw one I saw around here was buffered, I think it was just a passive splitter/mixer. Also, there is someone around here who got a custom boutique style LS-2 made up by some guy on eBay...
Both the splitter and mixer are fully buffered. http://www.woundedpaw.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=144 http://www.woundedpaw.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=145
I got a dual parallel looper similar to this from the builder in that link. I don't know if he would build you something in 3 or 4 loops, but it wouldn't hurt to contact him. My whole sound is built on this thing. Being able to go HOG in parallel with a BMS is a fantastic thing. If you can ignore my awful vocals (I've gotta recut that sometime to remove those ) the rest of this ditty is one continuous track with my HOG -> G2.1u in parallel with my BMS. It starts getting interesting around the 1:40 mark.
