Parts Tele Bass Identification

Recently scooped up this bass for the custom shop neck. Can anyone help me identify the parts? (year, etc)

Unfortunately, the neck is not a real Fender/Squier of any kind. The headstock shape is way off. Not sure about the rest - could be a Squier 51P-style?

that's what I was assuming with the neck. It looks like someone added the fender/custom shop stickers. funny enough, the neck feels and plays great.

I've made countless posts regarding these

It's a Harley Benton PB-50, Benton being the in house brand of Thomann,Germany.

First released 2013 though the Roswell pickup dates it from 2018 onwards. All maple neck , body is lime with a photo flame finish. The single coil is best described as an underwound Duncan QP, it's a decent pickup. You might be unfamiliar with Roswell but chances are you've heard them, ESP,Fernandes,Tagima and Fender all buy pickups from Roswell.

Bass retails for $120 , don't let that fool you, the PB-50 is a well made reliable bass.

My Fender Paisley is a lovely bass but it's my PB-50 that sees the most play. Hardware is no frills functional, fast approaching 10 years yet I've still the stock pots/cap/jack socket, tuners and bridge in mine.

The necks are outstanding, proper P-bass without being too chunky. Peghead has enough meat the 51 Tele shape is possible.

I decided to upgrade the pickup. I have an Aguilar getting delivered today to replace the Roswell.

It looks to me that someone may have done a little reshaping of the headstock.

It's a Harley benton. $100 bass new. Somebody sanded the spike out of the headstock (poorly), and slapped a Fender sticker on it.

Oh, bentons are great. You need to buy one of their jazz basses. Go for the premium one. It's like 25 dollars more than their budget one.

hmm, thanks for that! but this neck is driving me bonkers. the headstock is off from the Bentons.

All that's happened is somebody knocked the peaks off the peghead.

Along with the 6 or 7 I've owned I've did easy twice that many peghead reshapes, if I include the folks I sent templates to then talked through the process, it won't be far from 3 figures.

Reckon I could spot a PB-50 from 1000 yards blindfolded, well maybe not 1000 yards

My own experience with swapping single coils is I've yet to find any I'd class as an 'upgrade', a slightly different flavour perhaps but nothing groundbreaking.

CNC is great. Better entry level instruments today than any other time.

Many of the CNC instruments are tighter tolerances than any but a master builder spending a ton of time can muster.

may have too. don't own a JB yet and I've spent enough on basses this year. This one by far was the cheapest.
