bill, i love you man! you're obviously taking the piss, as you folks in england say. nobody could ever believe that. if by some strange chance that you do, though, you might want to delete the nice thread you did about me a week ago, because i love to put on a show. i'm a lot like this little guy here:People who can actually play don't need showmanship.![]()

Ok, so for me this actually provokes other thoughts. Everyone has had "that" moment on stage when they thought they were going to bust a killer move or play an awesome riff/ fill and it went sour on them.
I remember a time when I was playing with a heavy metal band and during one of the guitar solo's I simultaneously got hit in the head by the singer's microphone and fell thru the stage, all the while attempting to do my best headbanging/ low stance.
I also remember performing an original song for the four-hundred-thousandth time in the last two weeks and deciding to throw a simple jazz fill into the chorus. It didn't go over well with the drummer (who lost time), the rhythm guitarist (who started cracking up) or the crowd (one guy actually pointed at me and said "you suck!").
These mistakes happen, we move on. Fortunately most of us don't have a camera on us and if we do we are lucky enough that it wasn't posted on youtube

Maybe he just decided to quit the band at that moment.
maybe not...
funny, but before he did that, he sounded pretty good to me. and i know for a fact that victor wooten has had his straplocks strip out of his bass when doing spins and nobody ever tells him he should spend more time practicing. This is why I don't attempt lame guitar spins period....to me,if that guy had spent more time playing than attempting to spin is guitar around like an idiot he'd be a better bass player and wouldn't be on youtube and the laughing stock of the bass community.
