Up for sale is a beautiful Paul Lairat Stega Bass. Specs: Scale - 32" String Spacing at the Bridge - 16.5 mm Fingerboard - Maple Neck - Wenge, Walnut, Mahogany & Maple Body - Mahogany Top - Maple Splints - Mahogany, Maple & Walnut Pickups - Delano Xtender Preamp - Delano Sonar 2 Weight: 8.5 pounds I have upgraded the gig bag to a Mono Vertigo Semi Hollow. Why the Semi Hollow body case you ask? Because this bass is medium scale and headless it makes for a great travel bass, too. Thus, I case it in smaller gig bag that makes it easier to fit on planes, etc. The following is Paul's site for additional information: http://lairat.com/en/ New these basses would cost around 6K. On top of that you still need to wait six months or so for the build. Here is a good chance to grab one for half the price and no wait. Overall, this Stega is in great condition. The main cosmetic issue with this bass is that there are scratches on the lower splint of the bass. This is there the bass will rest if one is sitting down and playing it: Demo of the different pickup options on the bass:
The action on this bass is very good. It was recently set up at Chicago Fret Works. I can find out from them what they set the action to. By 'how low can it go' - what kind of metric are you looking for? 'Low' in terms before getting fret buzz? I can easily play chords on this bass if that is any indication. Thanks!
