PC EQ.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good EQ's I can run on my desktop for streamed or video's/mp3's playing in a program (ie. limewire, K-lite etc). The more bands the better.

P.S. I use Firefox, so it'd have to be compatable with that..

I don't think Windows has facilities for plugging arbitrary effects into its sound system if your sound card's driver doesn't have a way to do it.

Just use whatever program came with your soundcard to effect the overall EQ of your PC's sound?

Hmmm, I don't have a program for the soundcard (it's cheap)..

I've seen a couple via quick google search, but was wondering if there was one better than others etc.. and what I should be searching for exactly.

the soundcard which came stock with my system ( the cheapest one there was) has a 10 band eq software

You kinda need drivers and software specific for the soundcard, as the EQ would be done by that.

What kind of sound card is it?

My creative soundblaster was only £12 and its ace, so, cheap doesnt mean anything, the crappy onboard sound i have has software for EQing it aswell, so, im pretty sure if you let us know what kinda card it is, we could find something.

Heh, I forgot i'd gotten a new computer since the last video card purchase.

This is all I could find whilst looking through hardware devices/audio:
Intel Integrated Audio, Legacy Audio Drivers, Intel 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller.

That help any?

Thats what my onboard sound is, it uses a realtek driver and software

So... instead of the legacy drivers, should I try get some softek drivers and software? Or look for legacy software?

Try looking for legacy software first, just because itd be easier
