Double Bass PC transcription?

i guess i need to check out this transcription stuff.

i didnt put up audio samples to impress anyone... all those audio samples i have up are from records that im on. i certianly didnt record them to impress anyone. i have a feeling that eddie didnt put the clips on his site to impress anyone either. the point is, you dont put up clips to impress other bass players or to be judged. you put them up to share your music. thats why we do all of this isnt it? (fwiw, i dont think people would need a tuner in the shot to know if you were in tune or not.)

Steve, we're all aspiring. I assumed you were an up and comer because the transcription in question is at most an afternoon's project. The collective time and effort it has taken to write these posts is more than enough to do the heavy lifting.

I still say do your own transcription. "Chop your own wood and it will warm you twice." Henry Ford

The nice thing about transcribing is EVERYTHING. The mechanical issues disappear more quickly, the question of memorization becomes moot, and the subtleties present themselves in a way impossible to appreciate any other way.

On a side note, guys- density of posts do not a great player make. There are some heavies on here who almost never post, and many of them are pretty damn anonymous, and don't contain links to their playing. This is a rather neophyte way to judge an opinion here, in my not so humble opinion.
