2009 USA Custom Shop Peavey Cirrus 5 string bass guitar

This may be one of the most customized Cirrus made to order out there and a real looker. It sounds absolutely stellar. It's just that I can't seem to get past the 35" scale feel. I'm really trying to adapt because I want to keep this beauty and the sound is just perfect. But I'm putting it on the block for now just to see what trade options might be available.

Here's the specs:
• Ash Body (with amazing grain). Solid ash back plates.
• White Bubinga top (the sapwood of the tree)
• Birdseye Maple fingerboard and custom abalone dot inlays (don't see that very often on Cirrus basses)
• Maple neck with walnut stringers
• Matching headstock and truss rod cover
• Custom walnut knobs

35" scale neck-thru with ABM brass bridge (adjustable spacing 17 - 18mm). Hipshot tuners.
18v active preamp with mid sweep. Full 3-band eq (plus the mid sweep).

Could ship with a like-new deluxe Gator ATA Mil-grade PE case with TSA latches.

If you are in the market for one of these fantastic instruments this is unique and a very fine specimen.
Looks amazing and sounds stellar. Everything you'd expect from a USA Custom Shop.

It's in fantastic condition with only minor signs of wear. A tiny indentation on the back of the neck and some wear on the bridge saddles where adjustment tools have contacted the saddles. There may have been some fret dressing done at one point because it appears there are some very small indentations near the fret ends. Whatever was done it allowed for super low action. I think that's it. It's a real looker.

$1350 shipped CONUS. As for trades let me know what you've got. 5 string only though.

Thanks for looking!

All my 5s are 35" scale so I have nothing to offer in trade. But if you decide to sell that beauty I am sure it would not be on the block for more than 24 hours.

This was mine for a while. It has the tightest B of any bass I've owned including 3 other Cirrus basses!

I have also owned this Cirrus. the neck seemed slightly thicker than most US models. BTW; what happened to the peavey case and black knobs?

Not really sure how to compare for you. Tone opinions seems so subjective. I'd say this one is super punchy. Can totally dial in that Ken Smith vibe if you want to. The EQ is very usable across the full bands and sounds great even fully boosted. The sweepable mid frequency is just fantastic IMHO. Never boomy or piercing. It's great piano like tone across the board. Like I said, I love this thing other than the scale.
