They are rare because they haven't been manufactured in 20 years or so. I have the (non-combo) 4x10 cab from that same series. I would describe it as: heavy, rugged, reliable.
If you can find the combo for a good price (I'd personally consider it worth $100-150) and you don't mind VERY heavy, and your volume needs are modest (you can get by with only 2x10 and 200w) then it might be the right amp for you.

I'm a little confused. Did you find one and are asking whether it would be a good purchase, or did you read some reviews and are looking for one?
