Found a Peavey Combo 300 for $100, I wasn't really looking for another amp, but this is a good deal I should jump on right?

Nice score! I dig mine but it's been relegated to storage. I bought it from the original owner along with a T40 as a package deal. I really enjoyed the crossover. Here's a photo of the owner and his gear the day I took over as custodian.I just gout one for $100, very noisy and volume wavers. A freind of mine had restored a couple MK IIIs, says this is essentially the same amp. Indestructable apparently.
This one sounds great, even with the issues. Getting her spruced up this weekend.
Seems it's designed to push a 4 ohm speaker, and you can run a 4 ohm extension cab along with, for a 2 ohm load. I can use it with my 4 ohm 210... this is gonna be cool.

This is pretty much the plan, except for the tubes in front. Tubes... power section would be my preference. But ss has been doing me right. If it was clean, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat; and for $100 buy-in, take it to a good tech and have it put in fighting shape. Find a matching 115BW cab, makes a great little stack, but in terms of today, probably a good tube pedal in line to warm it up a bit would suit. Had one back then, liked it.
Ehat is this "Tube pedal" you speak of?If it was clean, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat; and for $100 buy-in, take it to a good tech and have it put in fighting shape.
