Peavey DynaBass Unity electronics

Howdy-
I usually play upright, but recently I've been playing my Peavey Dynabass unity (koa) a lot more. A year ago, the electronics crapped out and no one in my area could fix 'em, so I replaced them with emg pj's.
Besides the fact that the switch left my bass with holes in it, I kinda liked the sound and versatility before the switch- so the question becomes, does anybody know where I can pick up something akin to the original peavey electronics? Judging from the forum postings, a lot of people switch them out, so I'm hoping there's a ton of them lying around...
Thanks!

You can get any three band eq(I would suggest Aguilar obp-3) get a 250k volume pot, a blend pot, and a DPDT switch and wire it up just like the original. Both Bartolini and Aguilar have websites with wiring diagrams. By the way, though you may be able to find the original preamp somewhere, you would be well served to buy a more modern pre. The technology has come a long way since those preamps were designed, and even lowend preamps are more advanced and quieter than the older ones.

I have one of those and Bartolini makes a pre-amp with 4 pots and a switch. I believe it's the same one used on Warrior basses with a Volume (push/pull active/passive), Pan, mid boost/cut, stacked bass/treble and then a switch to set the center point of the mids. Another possibility would be the Glockenklang and then use the switch hole for an on/off switch.

I have the Bart in my pre-amp and it can pretty well replicate the one in the Peavey, but the Glockenklang is probably a better pre-amp. Another possibility is the John East pre-amp. It's awesome, but I don't know if it will fit in your unit. Email him and ask.

If you're really desperate, I've got one of those basses for sale.

I replaced my originals with the SD switchable EQ pickups.
For the extra holes it left I put in an EMG BTC unit.. I can get SOOO many tones in it.
DON'T sell that bass!!! it is incredible.. compare it to almost anything out there.
Here's mine:
