Peavey extension cab

Hi there, I am new to the world of lower frequencies so will consider all who post here to know more than I. I recently bought my first Bass amp, an old Peavey 300 combo. I also today acquired an 1810 Peavey cab. Will they work together well and what is the best way to connect them.

From what I can find about your Peavy Combo and Cab, it appears that they will NOT work together.
The combo is rated for an 8 Ohm minimum (lowest) impedance for the extension cab, and it looks as if the 1810 is rated at 4 Ohms. However an 8 Ohms extension cab should work. Check the nameplate on the back of the extension cab to be sure.

Plugging a four Ohm cab to this amp can damage the amp.

OG-B, thanks for the heads up. I had not looked at the ratings yet on amp or cab. Upon checking though I think I am good if you look at the attached pictures. What do you think? Was also looking at the manual I found at this link https://peavey.com/manuals/80370370.pdf.

Page 3 of the manual and the back jack plate of the combo indicate that it is safe to use an external 4 ohms cabinet, and that the combo is stable down to a total 2 ohms load (page 4 specs).
It should be seismic.

I used the amp chassis from a Combo 300 with a 3620. Your combo and 1810 will be about like that. Wear earplugs and evacuate any pets or children from the premises.
