Looking for the correct tool for this. Cant get a regular nut driver on it, metric or standard and I really wanna tweek my rod... Anyone give me a hand?

Right on, I will try the sanding down first. Im sure i have an old one lying around ready for some sanding. And if that dont work I will look into getting the correct tool. Thanks guys!
Many 4-in-1 screwdrivers, the type with reversible or interchangeable screwdriver bits are a 5/16 and/or 1/4 nut driver with the bit removed.
The Craftsman #41161 I use a lot has a fairly slim wall thickness and is a 5/16 driver on both ends.
Other brands are often 1/4 and 5/16.
Rickenbacker 4001 truss rod nuts (1/4") are especially difficult to access. Especially when the truss rods ends bend down over the years.
But I found that a Craftsman Torx driver with changeable bits like T10 to T20 happens to be a 1/4" nut driver with an especially slim wall thickness.
It is however aluminum and will strip out fairly easily,
Prolly just before the point where you would snap off the truss rod end.
