Peavey - Great customer service

I ordered less than $14 worth of replacement parts from Peavey. They shipped exactly what was ordered very quickly by Federal Express. Two small screws had to come from another warehouse and they were also sent Federal Express. I was not charged any shipping on either delivery. I don't know how the $14 even covered the shipping. Very good service!

I totally agree! Just this week I had a problem with a Gotoh tuner on my USA Millennium 5 string. I posted "Help!" posts on the Millennium thread here and also in the repair forum but didn't get any responses. One phone call to Peavey got me guitar tech Steve Smith, who is sending me a new tuner no charge and no shipping charge. I am the original owner of this very fine 7 year old bass, but he never asked for any proof of that- just a serial number to make sure the tuner was an exact match. Kudos to Peavey for their fine service. :hyper:

I was sold on Peavey when my dad who is a bluegrass picker
bought a Peavey P.A. system back in the late 70's. His
group used it for about a year and a half before one of the
speaker cabs tossed a 12 inch woofer. Hey, in traditional
bluegrass, the music isn't known for extreme volume or a
punishing low end but a speaker blew anyway.

To make it short my old man called Peavey and they said
to ship the cab back if they didn't have a tech to install a
new speaker. My dad sent it back and they replaced the
speaker for free. They even paid for the shipping back! I was
amazed at the customer service he got from them and that
was back in the late 70's.

I've never had to use Peavey customer service on any of
the Peavey gear I've bought because the stuff just lasts and
lasts and keeps on going gig after gig. I'm happy to hear that
the service is still excellent and there if you need it.:)

Steve Smith and Peavey rocks! I had the same problem with the tuning keys on my Millenium and Steve got right on it. I've worked as a technical support specialist/customer service for years and I can appreciate the quality of service I've gotten. Customer for life. Thanks Steve and thanks Peavey for the great people you have working for you.

Customer service?
I've never had a Peavey amp break.
You know, end of the world, all that's left that is alive or working are cock roaches and Peavey amps

Hopefully they have the same great customer service for power amp warranty work. I’ve got one of my IPR2 7500 amps with a weak channel (barely any output). So I’m hoping it’ll be a quick, painless process to get it repaired.

What hasn't changed is the quality of their amps or new products. I still have a 1986 Megabass amp I still use out sometimes. Fast forward to this last year, and Peavey has revamped Trace Elliot. The amazing ELF amp and the speaker cabs are on the cutting edge of micro technology, and once again blazing trails into new territory.

Their customer service is still good, I don't see this changing until Heartly passes, or finally lets go of the reigns.

As far as I can tell, they are still a very cutting edge technology company with elcellent products and great customer service. They might farm more work over seas these days, but the backbone of the company is still very much intact.
