peavey pro head, cabs?

Hey all. The music store I deal with (great guys) let me borrow a rig while mine is in the shop. Its a peavey pro 500 and a peavey pro 410. He had the pro 115 as well but I left it at the store as I didn't need that much for tonights gig. Anyway, I really like the way it sounds and am thinking of buying it. It is their loaner rig and just sits in their storage area in the back. The head has some scraps and the right front rack ear is bent pretty good(looks like a direct fall on it). It works fine tho. The 410 appears to be in good shape and I didn't really look at the 115 much. So how much do you think I should offer for all of it? I have always bought combos and I've looked on the internet and found anywhere from $200 for the whole rig to the price they were new. If you have any idea what these are worth please let me know what you're thinkin!

A good condition ProBass 500 should go for $300-$400 in mint condition. They were $800+ new a few years ago. They are made in USA and very well built. I have one for sale now that I am using the puny amps. The cabinets are $600 new, and would be worth at least $300, maybe less. $500 for the set would be a good deal on american made bass gear. The 115 would be worth $250-$300 in great condition. The stuff sounds great, it is however very heavy.

This is the very rig I use. The 410 is 98 lbs of bottom end love!

They sold new head and 410 cab for $750 list at $999 then $799 each and listed for $1049.They stop making it for some dumb reason. They are awesome! The 115 is crap. I had it w/ my 410, it is too flubby.

I do want another Pro410 and run those together to bump it down to 2 ohms and get the full 500w out. Plus run it on either side of the stage.

I say buy it if the deal is right. I've got well over 600 gigs on mine and NEVER once had any issues with it! And every band I have gigged with it with, all dropped their jaw. Even had at a pick up gig, "Eh? Peavey? I started on that too, hahaha..." Then later had them asking me to join the band, saying that it was the greatest f'n tone they heard!

Also find a footswitch that will engage the mute. The EQ by-pass can be done FS accessed too. (2 button)

And yes, I am a giant mutant freak! lol

I've had my 410 pro cab for a few years now and couldnt be happier. I'tll handle a rediculous amount of power and sounds great to me, nice modern tone, hits the lows nice without getting sloppy. id say foget the 15, this cab goes low enough! I think it is rated down to 40hz. pretty high sensetivity level too. I have the 8 ohm model, ive ran it bridged mono on my power amp pushing the full 700 rms watts and ive never hear any speaker distortion. It has custom made Eminence drivers in it made just for the peavey pro cabinets. good crossover too with the light bulb-tweeter protector.
I found mine for $400, worth every penny. yes, its heavy, oh well.
I tried finding another one, seems i cant find one. i'd love to have two of these- this is their best cab IMO

never tried the amp tho, im sure like anything else peavey, you could throw the amp down a flight of stairs and play it when you get to the bottom
