Thinking of getting a Peavey Cirrus custom made, but I dunno what body wood to get. I'm in love with Evil J's bass tone. There's a good sample. What wood do you think that is? I'm thinking a walnut or mahogany body.

I can't help - looks like walnut from the little I can make out from that video. I can tell you I've played a few Cirrus basses in stores and at GTGs and no matter what wood combination you get, you're going to end up with an incredible sounding, looking, and playing bass. They are absolutely fantastic. My personal favorite top is the Redwood. I saw a 5 string redwood top Cirrus at a music store over Thanksgiving and it was so goregeous I couldn't stop drooling.
