Peavey t40

Hi folks,

This is my first post so sorry if I have placed this in the wrong forum. I have been lurking for a while but never got around to posting anything. Of course now I need some help and so here I am.

I recently got a peavey t40 and really love the sound. However what I dont really like is the tone pot. I feel that I could expand the tonal range if I switched in a push pull pot that would allow me to switch between the single coil and humbucker options. That way I could use the tone pot's full range for both options rather then just the 7 to 10 for one and the 1 to 7 for the other.

I found a schematic and attempted to wire it up but no sound came out. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could pull off this mod or if it is possible to do.

Thanks in advance for any help you folks can give.

Not that i know anything about the t40, but i'd imagine people will ask for pics. Kind of hard to see whats going wrong if you cant see it. Other than that it could be a faulty pot or perhaps the output isnt wired up correctly. Just taking a stab in the dark here without seeing it

Dave.

Buzz down to the pickups and electronics forum and ask Line6man your wiring question. Dude is brilliant and can probably give you a wiring diagram to make it all work like you want.

Congrats on the new T-40. I just got one myself last week and haven't put it down yet.
