Peavey TNT Question

I have the newer TNT (600 watts) and the switch for the speaker protection doesn't work. the light is illuminated all the time when the amp is on.

any harm in running it all the time?

any help is much appreciated!

When it's active, the light changes from green to red.

EDIT: When you defeat the limit protection by pushing the button in, the light will go from green to red at power amp clipping, so it's basically always indicating max power.
