wife took delivery of the replacement yesterday about 30mins after I had left for rehearsal

Going back up to the rehearsal space tonight and blast the heck out of it for ......at least a good couple of hours (just me....no other band mates). Wish me luck!

Well...returning it & keeping the GK. Vb2 was loud & worked fine but I couldn't get a loud (gig volume) clean tone. It did get loud & fwiw....this is not a knock to the amp at all. Top notch construction & easy to use eq. Turns out I'm a GK guy & not a tube guy.

I can personally attest to the 6ca7's really opening up both volume and tone. I got a matched set from the guys at Tube Works.
