Peavy T-40 Unholy Trinity

Not so much the other two, but the cutout is sheer genius! Wonder what it weighs...

This is one way to lighten a T-40 without ruining what I've always thought was a good-looking bass.View attachment 1549264

Under-the-pickguard routing is nominal and may take oz's off at best. The cut-away version above would take off real weight and if laminated on front & back with a light veneer - it would remain normal looking and may even add an acoustic tone to the bass.

Reactions: Bill Whitehurst

An incredibly anti-ergonomic/player friendly design modification other than obvious reduced weight. No upper horn (neck dive city), hooked elbow area will cause much irritation when playing, and a 'bottle-opener' knee rest area also guaranteed to be highly uncomfortable when seated. I'm all for redefinition/modding, but hacking like this is just - unfortunate.
