Pedal lineup questions!

Sooo I’ve been putting this off for a bit because I’ve only really had 2 pedals. But now I’ve got four and don’t want to take anything away from my sound by a bad setup.

My pedals.
-Zvex woolly mammoth fuzz
-Ampeg Scrambler Bass Od
-Tc Electronics Sub n up Octaver
-D’Addario LED Tuner

Roast me if you will, just looking for the correct way to patch all these bad boys together. Any help is appreciated.

Octaver before the fuzz or the dirt so that it has a clean signal to track. Tuner either at the very beginning of the chain or at the very end.

As for which order to put the fuzz and drive in, that just comes down to which sound you like better.

Personally, on my board the effects you've got listed go Octave>Fuzz>OD>Tuner.

The tuner will mute any unwanted noise from the other pedals when on. I'm currently experimenting with using the EQ that my overdrive has to help boost the low end coming out of my fuzz.

The way I’d do it is tuner to octaver. After that try alternating the other two and see which sounds best to you.

This is not the best way to do it. Just the way I’d do it.

I like having the ability to get noise from my pedals while tuning.

That is an easy setup. Like Korladis said, Tuner is a free choice. Put it first and you mute before your signal hits the board and put it last so all the board gets muted - but it might be difficult to tune while the fuzz and octave are active.
The Octave needs to go in front of the dirt pedals or else it can have problems tracking.
I've had a setup once where I split a loop with an LS-2 and put a fuzz into an octave into said loop which then got mixed with the clean signal again. This was a mean sound, but Fuzz into octave without external clean blend did not work too well.
You can try to boost the bass on the Ampeg before or after the Fuzz and see what you like best.

I will dissent here and say it's worth trying the octaver post-fuzz. As a digital pedal the sub'n'up tracks particularly well and in my experience just fine after fuzz. Cleaner sub that way and you won't overload your fuzz. I also had good luck with a Meatbox in this regard as well.

I would do: OD > fuzz > tuner > suboctave. Experiment with order of fuzz and OD if you intend to stack them.

I'll have to try my octave after my fuzz, they're pretty unusable together the way I've got them. Tuner is just personal preference.
