pedal power repair

Hi, i was given a digi tech phaser, was gonna try it out on my bass. However, i was a total idiot and plugged it into a 9v AC power supply rather than a 9v DC supply.

the light came on and then went out, tried it with a DC supply and its dead.

Anyone know if i could repair this myself? im quite handy with a soldering iron.

or is it damaged beyond repair?

Without a schematic or gutshots, it will be very hard to tell, what has taken damage.

However a lot of pedals has a "suicide" diode that will take the blow, if a psu with the wrong polarity is inserted.
Or you could have blown the filtering caps, but those can be changed too.

worst case you fired some of the ICs in which case repairing it will be a tad more difficult.

If you post a picture of the component side of the PCB, perhaps I can give you some more specific advice.
