I'm looking to expand my pedal board and add an isolated power supply. Problem: I have a Markbass Compressore that needs a 12 volt 1.7 amp power supply. I don't mind the "buy once cry once" strategy, but I'm only coming up with one option that works off the rack: a Cioks DC7 with a Cioks Crux 24 plugged into the 24V port for around 300 bucks. I have 6 pedals that need power, and none of the others have special needs.
I love the Compressore, which is always on, tube-based, and serves my needs perfectly well. So I have no interest in one possible solution, finding a compressor that does not require as much current. I'm not sure about bridging options, etc.
One thing I do know: there are plenty of folks on Talkbass who know more about this than me and might be able to help find more cost-effective solutions if they're out there. Thanks for reading!
