Pedalboard power supply ac vs dc

Thnx for the reply.
In what way are the DC power supplies cumbersome ?

On stage sometimes the AC-DC transformer will not fit the power socket because it is too big. You then need to ask for another extension cord, or bring your own..

Also the cable & connector from the AC-DC transformer might not be as rugged as you want to have on stage.

- If you forget/lose the cable for an AC power supply, it's easy to find a replacement at short notice
- A DC power brick (or a wall wart on an extension cable) is one more thing for people to kick or trip over on stage
- The connector from a DC power brick/wall wart is more easily knocked out, more likely to be damaged by being stepped on, and may be prone to noise from cable movement
