im looking into making a pedalboard riser similar to the one in the attached pic. I can get most of the materials but I'm just curious where to get the rods as shown above for the riser that are tapped internally so I can bolt it on.

im looking into making a pedalboard riser similar to the one in the attached pic. I can get most of the materials but I'm just curious where to get the rods as shown above for the riser that are tapped internally so I can bolt it on.
Another idea would be threaded rod. Put a washer/nut below the riser and one above it. It would be adjustable for height.
That was another idea I was thinking of. And if I wanted to cover it, I could put spacers over it.

I work in a sign shop so I took some scrap mdo and put a prototype together. I'll take it home and if it works, I'll mount it on to the board.
I used pieces of wood, a screw through the bottom (and the top in case it's a fixed upper tier - mine is hinged) and a little glue.
Here's what I threw together. Actually works out quite well, I will probably keep it. Just need to felt the top. Was able to get the crybaby back on my board thanks to this.
