Pedals. Should I match volumes or low-end

Hi tbers.
In a live setting I have been having trouble with matching my Pedals volume. I wanted to know how important this is and if I should be trying to match the lowend aswell as the volume. To achieve the matched low-end some pedals have to be way louder, I wanted to know whether a bit of low-end loss is ok or whether you feel this will badly effect the dynamics of the songs. Thanks

This is why we like pedals that don't suck out lows. Boosting level to keep up lows makes for volume increase out of proportion.

Maintain appropriate overall volume and find different pedals if the tone isn't good.

I run a crossover to separate lows out so fx only act on mids and highs then blend. You can look it up in the effects forum.

volumes are the most important IMO...there is nothing worse than doing soundcheck, setting your levels (on the proviso you are in the PA in the firstplace), then clicking on a pedal and all you get it distorted crap...also it helps the pedals when using multiples at the same time...but you should go through each pedal and get it set.

you should then adjust the sound/tone on the pedals to compensate for any extra freq. boost if possible.
