Pedals tailored for bass???

I've just recently started getting into effect pedals and was wondering what effects need to be specifically designed for bass to handle the low frequencies and what guitar pedals can be used with bass and still have no loss of low end

You're new here, so you may get a pass from all the flaming typical to respond to a post like this.

To be honest, effects is all about your personal taste. Best advice you can get from here is to watch and read the effects threads and watch youtube videos of anything that interest you. If you buy something you think you may like, but end up hating it, a supporting membership here can always help you trade and/or sell it on here. There's always Ebay too.

Go to the "Bass Guitar Forums" and click on effects. Spend some time there. You will find your answer and more things you want to try then your budget can ever afford.

... and the list goes on and on. These are some of the more popular companies most users on here seem to hype about. All of them are really good companies with excellent products. Your budget and personal taste are really you're limitation in the world of effects. I started by trying to emulate tones and sounds I heard form bassist I look up to. Years later, I now constantly hunt for that next awesome thing.

Hope this helps a little more. Everything I listed above I've heard about through reading and discussing in the effects forums. Stay active on the site you will learn a ton about anything bass.

One last thing to help you out before I finally get into bed...

In the top right of the screen you will see a drop down menu that says, "Thread tools".

Click that and then click on "suscribe to this thread".

If you ever want to see if someone posted in this thread (or any thread you suscribe to), click on "my talkbass" in the top left of the screen and it will show all the threads you are suscribed to. Ones with post since your last visit will show in bold. Later.
