Pedaltrain Q's. Also, Post pics of your Pedaltrain!

Just got my PT2 today. Getting my power supply tomorrow. I see you guys always have little plastic squares under your board that holds all your cables in place and such. Can you tell me where you get them? Cost?

Please post pics of your board. top and bottom if you can. maybe at an angle instead of head on. I want to see exactly how to get my board real tidy.
 
Pedalboard arrangement (and really all organization) is a dark and mystic art. One can not just mimic incantations and gestures, hoping to arrive at the same end as those who've spent their lives in the study.

I would however recommend arranging your pedals without velcero first. Pay attention to inputs and outputs. Once you have them in your operating order, mentally, or even on paper, map the cables you'll need. Make sure you have all of those. Once you get the power in place as well. Move onto zip ties. One interesting application I've seen is sticky tabs for holding zip cables without need drills or anything.

There's also a dude that mods the PTs to hold the power supply and adds a switch and power input.

+1! When it come to under-board cable management I would suggest using heavy duty twist-ties until your board is absolutely done. They hold well but are easily removed to accommodate shifting pedals around. Once you're completely finished and you don't see yourself moving anything around anymore, maybe move to zip ties for a more secure and general more potent organization option.

Personally, I don't use either because 1) I'm lazy and 2) I look at the underside of my board and it makes my head spin, lol. Just a few suggestions :p.
 
Heres my board I use for guitar. I moved pedal around a bunch of times till I got it how I liked it. o under shots but I used zip ties for the power wires to the Voodoo labs power supply.

Top row goes to the loop, bottom goes from the guitar to the amp.

Very stuffed PTPro (including 1 powersupply and 2 pedals under the board).

I don't have pics of the underside but it's not good to look there. Zip ties and gaffers tape all over the place. It works though and survived a few 1-2 feet drops as well.

The above suggestions are all very good: planning without velcro, putting the pedals on the board, using temporary ties and then moving on to more permanent solutions.

I despise using zip ties and keep my PTs flexible. I use velcro cable ties to wrap, and simply stick the wrapped cable to the velcro on the underside of a pedal that's accesible through the bars. I have a nano that just has an ISO5, TU-2, Line 6 G30 and then one slot for a smallish pedal that varies depending on the application. That doesn't get too complicated, but I've used a Pro and the PT2 as main boards in the past.
 
Here is my completed pedalboard after replacing the Moog Lopass with a Xerograph and adding a few things:

One good thing to do is make sure your quarter inch and power cable connectors don't extend over the edge of the board because they can easily get knocked and damaged that way. Keep everything within the edges of the board and that won't happen.
