Hey all...any suggestions / thoughts / ideas are welcome...
I have a 1991 MVP-4 that I got the replacement pre-amp from Mike right before they retired. My new issue is the P pickup (if not both p and j) have basically gone out...incredibly low signal and unusable live.
I got with Bartolini and they advised they are about 3 months behind due to the 'Rona and trying to keep folks healthy.
So...after searches here and running thru old threads...
What pickups would go well with the original Bart 'proprietary' pre-amp?
I'm eyeballing EMG's...'regular' Barts...or maybe Aguilar at the moment, but I'll listen to any ideas at this point. This has been my main bass for 20+ years and I'd like to get it running again.
I'll likely get the original barts at some point, I just need (ok...maybe just want) the bass up and running sooner.
