Hi Basspeople. I bought this MVP5 roughly 12 years ago from a prolific Tber rogerbmiller. Like many of us, I drooled over these Pedullas which were the first real 'boutique' basses I ever laid eyes on in those magazine ads they ran back in the day. Shortly thereafter purchasing this MVP5, I acquired my 1st Dingwall bass which immediately became my goto instrument and sad to say this lovely Pedulla was only gigged 2 or 3 times since I bought it. A recent sudden and acute GAS attack happened and I purchased another Dingwall, so while I don't have to sell this instrument it is the prudent thing to offset the cost of the new acquisition. I would rate this Pedulla in very good to excellent condition. A hand written note on the original owner's manual says it was made in 1996. PJ pickup config with master volume, active bass and treble controls, and a blend pot. It has the Bartolini TBT or NTBT active circuitry. Nicely figured flame maple, and excellent condition finish with no cracking or crazing. There are a couple of dings in the finish that expose bare wood which I have detailed in photos. The worst of these is near the output jack, a small spot on the back, and a couple on the top edge of the headstock. None are really visible viewing the bass from the front. There is also string wear on the P pickup under the B string. I have never seen anything like it...someone must have been heavy handed with slapping or digs really deep finger style (purely cosmetic). Plays and sounds great and I think would make any Pedulla fan happy. Serviced early 2022 at 30th St. Guitars in NYC and has been played at a rehearsal exactly 1x since then. Matt at 30th St. told me that some Pedullas he's seen were 'difficult' to set up but said "this is a good one" for whatever that's worth. Asking price includes shipping to CONUS 48 states.
