My girlfriend (cue the "musicians with girlfriends" jokes) recently started a new series of paintings and asked me if she could photograph my beloved Fender Precision as a reference for one of them. This is how it turned out: "Bass." 10"x14". Oil on canvas. Pretty awesome to have my most sentimentally-valued bass immortalized in a painting! More info on her work at www.ericaott.com .
+1 ditto to that. looking at it starting from bottom left..looks friggin real..once my eyes got up to the strings..then I started to piece it togeth. Nice work indeed. awesome work on the knob. (edit:just realized how funny that sounded)
That is awesome! I have no idea what your girl looks like but she just became incredibly sexy. I would get a print and hang this in my man cave (if my wife let me have a man cave). :-(
She gets that a lot. Her photorealism work is unreal...er...wait...surreal...wait, that doesn't work either. I'll just say "awesome."
+1 I'll take one if she wants to sell some. Would she be interested in doing more work like it (my bass)?
That's amazing! All components and hardware are correct. The attention to detail is unreal And that attention to detail is something I wish bass companies actually did
