Super Sensitives are really different than Zyex though, aren't they?

D'Addario could use another string. They used to have something called Pro Art or something that I think was kind of like that.

I never tried Zyex, so I don't know. But I was a fan of the Sensicores on my bass.

I've never used Sensicore, but based on how you describe it, it doesn't sound much like Zyex.

D'Addario kept the Red Label bass line, since it's probably a good seller.

Slightly off topic: I think the Red Labels were actually the marketing problem. Supersensitive made some pretty good bass strings: Pinnacle, Supremes, Sensicore (IMO) but almost everyone's first experience with their brand was the crappy Red Labels on school or rental instruments. People were just turned off the brand and had to be convinced to come back and try other products.

We only *wish* that plastic would degrade...

I know he’s already tried the string, but the worst thing might be if the now unavailable string was the most amazing thing ever with no possibility of finding another.
